Bloomsburg School District

A tiny suburban/rural public school system, the Bloomsburg Area School District. The district is one of Pennsylvania's 500 school districts. The Town of Bloomsburg, as well as Beaver, Hemlock, Main, and Montour Townships in Pennsylvania's Columbia County, are served by the Bloomsburg Area School District. The district's total area is about 81 square miles.

Three elementary schools (Kindergarten through 5th grade) are run by the Bloomsburg Area School District, with Memorial Elementary School, W.W. Evans Elementary School, and Beaver Main Elementary School being the biggest. The single Bloomsburg Middle School receives students from the three primary schools (grades 6th, 7th and 8th). Students in high school have three options: Bloomsburg Area High School, a cyber charter school, or transferring to the area technical school for trades training, Columbia-Montour Area Vocational-Technical School.
