Canton School District

The Canton Area School District is a small, rural public school district in Pennsylvania that covers roughly 204 square miles. There are three counties in the Canton Area School District. It serves Canton Township in Bradford County, which includes Canton Borough, but leaves out Leroy Township and Alba Borough. The district serves the communities of Marsh Hill and Ralston in McIntyre Township and Chemung, Ellenton, Leolyn, Penbryn, and Roaring Branch in McNett Township in Lycoming County. Union Township is served by the district in Tioga County.

Canton Area Elementary School and Canton Junior Senior High School are two typical schools run by Canton Area School District. The Focus Support Academy is another alternative school run by the district. For students who are at risk and have behavioral problems in the classroom, the program offers a placement. The building has space for up to twelve pupils. The Gleckner building in Canton is where Focus Support Academy is situated. An out-of-district placement is sought when a student requires more intense care, such as ongoing emotional support services. Students from Canton Area High School have access to the Northern Tier Career Center for career training.
