Central Columbia School District
The Borough of Orangeville and the Pennsylvanian municipalities of Mifflin Township, Mount Pleasant Township, North Centre Township, Orange Township, Scott Township, and South Centre Township are served by the Central Columbia School District, a small, rural public school district. The area of the Central Columbia School District is roughly 77 square miles.
The three schools run by the Central Columbia School District are Central Columbia High School (grades 9–12), Central Columbia Middle School (grades 5–8), and Central Columbia Elementary School (grades K–4). Students at Central Columbia High School have the option of attending the trade school Columbia-Montour Area Vocational-Technical School. The Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit IU16 offers the district a wide range of services, including professional development for staff and teachers, services for hearing, speech, and visual impairments, and specialized education for students with disabilities.
