A tiny, rural/suburban public school system in Union County, Pennsylvania is called the Lewisburg Area School District. The district's total area is roughly 44.5 square miles. It provides service to Union Township, Kelly Township, East Buffalo Township, and the Lewisburg Borough.

The Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit16 staff and the district both offer special education programs. The district and the SUN Area Technical Institute offer vocational training and adult education in a range of vocational and technical specialties.

Kelly Elementary School, Linntown Intermediate School, Donald H. Eichhorn Middle School, and Lewisburg Area High School are the four institutions run by Lewisburg Area School District.
