Montoursville School District
A small, rural public school system in Lycoming County is called the Montoursville Area School District. The district also provides services to the townships of Fairfield, Upper Fairfield, Eldred, Gamble, Cascade, and Plunketts Creek in addition to the municipality of Montoursville. The district's total area is about 189.8 square miles.
The C E Mccall Middle School and Montoursville Area High School are part of the Montoursville Area School District, which also runs two primary schools. For training in the mechanical and construction trades, high school students have the option of attending Lycoming County Career and Technical Center. The district receives a wide range of services from the BLaST Intermediate Unit IU17, including services for hearing, speech, and visual impairments, specialized education for students with disabilities, and professional development for staff and faculty.
