A small, rural school district called Oswayo Valley is located in Potter County's northwest. Families from the Clara, Sharon, Oswayo, and Ceres Townships as well as the Shinglehouse and Oswayo Boroughs are served by it. In both Potter and McKean County, it presently offers educational options to more than 420 school-age children.
