Penns Valley School District

Penns Valley Area School District is a small, rural district covering the south-eastern portion of Centre County. The mission of Penns Valley is “We seek to create engaged, passionate, and motivated life-long learners who will become contributing members of society. We are committed to effective communication within a supportive and trusting environment that will create a shared understanding between all members of the school community.”

Penns Valley is a public district comprising three elementary schools, one intermediate school, and one junior/senior high school. They draw students from several neighboring towns including: Centre Hall, Millheim, Spring Mills, Madisonburg, Aaronsburg, Rebersburg, Coburn, Potters Mills, and Woodward. The district’s mascot is the Ram, and their school colors and navy blue and white.

This region is the outdoor explorer’s dream, with lakes, caves, mountains, and two state parks...there is plenty to explore in Penns Valley. Be sure to also check out the valley’s local events, including the popular yearly “Grange Fair” - a camping event that brings over 200,000 visitors to the area at the end of every summer.

This district allows for all the benefits of sprawling farmland and forested area, while still having easy access to State College and Penn State University.
