A minor public school district in Pennsylvania's Lycoming County is called the South Williamsport Area School District. The school serves a number of Williamsport suburbs, including Armstrong Township, South Williamsport, DuBoistown, and Susquehanna Township. The district's total area is about 36 square miles.

Central Elementary, Rommelt Elementary, and South Williamsport Jr./Sr. High Schools are the three institutions run by the district.
